Joel E. Benecke, Esq.

Mr. Benecke is an experienced trial attorney with a deep understanding of successful tactics and strategies in the courtroom. He has argued cases in state and federal courts all over Southeastern Pennsylvania, successfully defending hundreds of clients on a broad range of criminal charges and representing individual and corporate clients in complex civil litigation. After serving as managing partner of the Chester County office of Benari Law Group, Mr. Benecke ran his own successful practice for several years.

At BenLath Law Group, Mr. Benecke will continue his criminal practice — focusing on white-collar and major crimes — as well as expand his work in the areas of business law, litigation, and crisis management.

Mr. Benecke received his Juris Doctorate from the Temple University Beasley School of Law, where he won numerous awards for trial and appellate advocacy.

During law school, Mr. Benecke served as full time Judicial Aide to the Honorable Marlene F. Lachman in the Philadelphia Court of Common Pleas from 2005 to 2008. Mr. Benecke is also a veteran of the U.S. Navy, where he served as an active duty Combat Medical Corpsman with the Navy and Marine Corps for over five years.

Julie D. Lathia, Esq.

Ms. Lathia prides herself on being an honest, approachable, and resourceful lawyer, but also a true partner in helping you build your business. She’s the owner of a small business, so she understands your position: your drive, your worries, your daily tabulations of every penny in the books.

Growing up, Ms. Lathia’s parents owned a motel, and she worked doing everything from cleaning rooms to managing the front desk. In her legal practice, she works with hotel owners and operators, and has experience in construction, development, and financing, as well as human resources and employment concerns.

Ms. Lathia also works with small to mid-size businesses from inception to wind-down. She can help with everything along the way, including establishing the corporate structure, contracts, intellectual property, collections, commercial landlord/tenant issues, litigation, and buying or selling a business.
